We only turn people away for four reasons: no valid UK licence, no proof of address, no insurance, or no deposit. If you’ve got those covered, we’ll get you on the road.

Your Questions, Answered
Do you run credit checks?
No. We never credit-check rental customers. If you have the documents and the deposit, you can rent — your credit history and how you earn make no difference to us.
What do I need to rent a car?
Four things: a UK driving licence (full or provisional), proof of address from the last 3 months, fully comprehensive insurance, and UK breakdown cover. Bring those plus your deposit and first week's payment and you're on the road.
Can I rent on a provisional licence?
Yes. A full or provisional UK licence both work, and the same applies to named drivers. International licences are not accepted.
What insurance do I need?
A fully comprehensive policy covering a car leased or rented from a private lease company, where the registered owner and keeper is the lease company. Your insurer will know what this means — if in doubt, call us before you buy the policy and we will talk you through it.
How much is the deposit?
Every car shows its refundable deposit on its page. That figure applies if you live within 50 miles of Bedlington; it is double that amount between 50 and 100 miles. We can only rent to drivers living within 100 miles of Bedlington.
How long can I keep the car?
The minimum term is 4 weeks. After that you renew week to week for as long as you need — plenty of our customers keep their car for months.
How many miles are included?
Your rental includes 300 miles a week, which comfortably covers most daily driving.
Can I really drive away today?
Yes — if your documents and deposit are ready, same-day collection is often possible. Call us first so we can have the car ready when you arrive.
Do you rent vans?
Yes. Vans and cars — same four requirements, same weekly renewals. Each vehicle shows its own weekly rate.
When do I get my deposit back?
After you return the car and it has been checked, your deposit is refunded after a 10-working-day check period, less anything outstanding such as unpaid rent, fines, tolls or damage.
